Turn the tides of battle with the use of amiibo
The strength of the Hyrulean army will begin to intensify as the Link amiibo figurine unlocks “new” (unconfirmed) features in “Hyrule Warriors” for Nintendo Wii U.
Originally, Koei Tecmo decided to develop additional downloadable content for “Hyrule Warriors,” thus extending the longevity of its life span. Out of the blue, Nintendo pulled a 180-degree turn with the announcement of amiibo support toward the Zelda spin-off title — which wasn’t intended in the first place. Over on Twitter, Nintendo of America teased their followers, once again, with this tweet below:

Unfortunately, Nintendo hasn’t revealed the overall purpose and benefits for using the Link figurine in this action-musou title. Presuming somewhere down the road, Big-N will explain their vision toward it in a future presentation, event, or maybe through social media. In addition to “Hyrule Warriors” joining the roster, titles such as “Mario Kart 8,” “Super Smash Bros. for Wii U,” “Yoshi’s Wolly World,” “Mario Party 10” and “Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker” were all planned to initially support the amiibo functionality.
What’s your stance toward using the Link amiibo figure in “Hyrule Warriors?” Let me know in the comments below.
